About the property
It might not be on the river, but this stunning 1 hectare country lifestyle property has all the hallmarks of your very own River Cottage. With a totally manageable couple of acres including three paddocks, it can create a totally sustainable lifestyle which includes solar water heating, a glass house, a 7 sq.m. root cellar for storage of vegetables such as pumpkins, along with your preserves, or even smallgoods if you want to produce your own dried meats.
There are fenced-off raised gardens, a 60 sq.m. double door workshop, which you could also use for a second two-car garage, and you can even catch an abundance of fish using the boat ramp just a kilometre down the road.
Just three years old, the one level 215 sq.m. home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms (inc. ensuite) and modern kitchen, boasts a warm, large atrium where you can be cool in summer and cosy in winter.
Built from Palliside cladding, it's architecturally designed to take advantage of the fantastic views across the Kaipara from its slightly elevated location. The sunsets are quite amazing!
With its three paddocks, and being fully fenced, it's perfect for horse lovers, or to raise sheep, a few steers, or chickens.
If you wish to work from home, create your own cottage industry, or just raise a family in a peaceful country environment looking towards the beautiful Kaipara Harbour, then you should certainly view this, with viewings by appointment. It's just 20 minutes to the Silverdale motorway on-ramp, and a few minutes more to Orewa.
